Digital IADS (DIADS)
Avarint has a long history of directly supporting test and training operations and analysts.
Integration with Test & Training Ranges
As a mission-level Integrated Air Defense System (IADS) simulation, Digital IADS (DIADS) is uniquely suited to large scenarios like those used in operational test and evaluation. With extensive hardware-in-the-loop capabilities and robust data-recording, to include every event or artifact that occurred during the simulation and real-time message traffic, DIADS can produce many gigabytes of relevant data. This data can be analyzed using the built-in analysis suite or passed externally in real-time for integration with other software and hardware systems using dozens of protocols and message structures, such as Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), All-purpose Structured EUROCONTROL Surveillance Information Exchange (ASTERIX), Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol (JREAP), and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA). The data can also be output to CSV format for later processing.
Avarint has vast experience in developing interfaces for a mission-level simulation to operate with hardware systems, ranges and simulations. The robust external interface built into DIADS has prompted wide acceptance by the DoD community and is considered the simulation glue of choice to integrate range systems.
Development, Integration and Analysis for Special Programs
Avarint develops and extends existing capability in the DIADS simulation to satisfy customer test, training and study requirements. Avarint has continually evolved DIADS, enhancing real-time capability and ensuring the model meets the needs of the electronic warfare (EW) test and training community.
Major upgrades include the transition to a browser based user-interface for cross-platform use, updating of the operator displays, increasing functionality of the standard DIADS interfaces to support TENA, Link 16 and ASTERIX interfaces, updating the standard DIS interface, development of interfaces for Intelligence Center Threat Modeling and Analysis Program (TMAP) models, and development of specialized capabilities to meet unique customer requirements.
